It’s by reading books. The easiest, cheapest and fastest way to become better, to grow every single day, is spending a little time, consistently, every single day, reading good books. So, in this blog, I'm going to share recommendations of my list of books that can help you bring out the best in yourself. You can learn more, you can become better, you can get entertained and you can feel good about yourself. You can be the best version of yourself in 2023.

There are tons of books available. But the list I'm going to share today will definitely help you become better and grow.

It's January and I am going to give you 4 books for this month. And in the next 12 months, I am going to give you different books for each month. So, (follow/subscribe/Like) the blog so that you don't miss any of my messages.

Let us see what is in store for you in January. The books will be categorized into the following 4: mindset, health, money and entertainment.

Why?

Everything starts with your mindset. What you think is what happens to you. What you think is what you do. What you think is how your life turns out to be. So why not start your 2023 with a good book on mindset?

There are a lot of books on mindset. But this is something different. It's simple, not too lengthy and a good read. This book was written by David Schwartz, a motivational speaker a doctor and professor of happiness, in 1950s. It is "The Magic of Thinking Big." The secret of success is our mind. It is about what you think, how you think, your vocabulary, how creative you are, what are your daily thoughts like and how you can change the thought in your head. When you think you have to do this particular work but your mind is constantly thinking negative, then obviously you are not going to get there. Those thoughts are hampering your progress, they're stopping you, they're pulling you down, so how do you change that attitude of success? This book will tighten the screws of your brain. To brief you about something from this book would be 'Believe you can succeed and you will.' This this book will help you work on your beliefs, your values, your vocabulary and your thoughts.

For example: ‘Cure yourself of Excusitis, the failure disease.’ We all keep giving excuses. Are you a procrastinator? This book will help cure the disease of giving excuses. 'How do you build confidence and destroy fear' is the third chapter. So how do you think big? Why you should think big? This book will tell you the why and how of thinking big.

Another thing I personally liked about this book is to how to use your goals to help you grow. Also, if you haven't checked my video on goal setting for 2023, go watch it here - https://youtu.be/pCStb0IJ1p0

How do you think like a leader? How do you talk like a reader? It's all in there. Go grab a copy.

We've covered the book for your mind. After setting your mindset, what is that thing you need to work on so that you are able to work for your dreams? It's your physical, mental, and emotional health. So, the next book you should be reading right away to give a nice head start to 2023 is "The Running Effect".

Running is something that has changed my life. If you know my story, I was suffering from agoraphobia and this book helped me overcome agoraphobia and become fit, helped me become the person I am today. Someone who's at a much better place and also published 12 books. It talks about the four interviews with the game changers in the field of running. The game changers are those people who have run 80, 100kms, they have attempted challenges like running from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, they've done Comrades. Post the interviews, this book has broken down the formula of running. It teaches you to install running habit in you. It happens with us that at the start of the year we decide to become fit. This enthusiasm stays till the first it second week of January only. This book gives you the framework so that the enthusiasm doesn't fizzle out and you are always motivated for your own health. It tells you why you should be running, it gives an effortless running triangle, it gives you the what to eat- what not to eat guide, it provides you with nutritious recipes and remedies for running and increasing your stamina. Go grab a copy of the book "The Running Effect" on Amazon and set your health for winning in 2023 - https://mybook.to/runningeffect

What's the next book that I'm recommending? That's for something we all need. Money. Just like the above two books, this book is amazing.

If you haven't read any book on money, I would recommend you to read at least this one. The book is "The Richest Man in Babylon". Now, this might sound like a fiction, but it's a non-fiction book.

You should read this for setting the right goals for money. Start 2023 on a good note so that you are richer by the end of 2023. Now, what you have to do for the next 12 months is follow the laws given in the book. This book was written about 90 years back, but the money principles are still so applicable today. For example: 'Start thy purse to fattening' - to fatten your purse and increase your income, 'To control thy expenditure' to learn to control one's expenses, 'Making thy gold multiply' - to multiply and increase your income. A lot of things are covered in this book on money including Cures of low income and How do you increase it.

The lessons are conveyed in a very simple manner by using anecdotes and fictional stories. So, if you want and are ready to set yourself up for becoming rich in 2023, go grab a copy of 'The Richest Man in Babylon'.

Let's get to our 4th book now. We've covered books on mindset, health and wealth. To keep learning a little fun, my next recommendation is 'That Rare Connection' by Sayali Bhaskar Rao. What's the beauty of this book? It contains some beautiful short stories. Irrespective of gender, caste, class and so forth, this book is about love. When you read the stories of this book, they will surely touch your heart. Heart-touching stories in that rare connection will not only entertain you but will warm your heart and will give you a lot of hope. The stories are non-fictional but eventually, you connect with them, you feel them in reality. That Rare Connection will give you a good time, de-stress you and will prepare you to face February to give your best in 2023.

To recap the four books:

1. The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz

2. The Running Effect by Sweta Samota

3. The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason

4. That Rare Connection by Sayali Bhaskar Rao

Stick around to get more useful content from my end.
